Today marks the Global Hand Washing Day and Infection Control and Antimicrobial Resistance.
In 2017, the World Health Organization is focusing on the Campaign SAVE LIVES: Clean Your Hands, as the main theme, in line with the goals of the millennium, based on antimicrobial resistance and the influence which hand hygiene plays in this fight.
The Prevention and Control Program has this year extended the scope of this event, promoting all Basic Infection Control Precautions as a whole, as it is not enough to promote hand hygiene only.
All Basic Infection Control Prevention have proven life-saving evidence.
